What we collect
When you join, contact us or subscribe to the newsletter we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, service status, branch, role code and separation date. We collect this because it is what allows us to give you a certification pathway rather than a generic reply.
We also collect standard technical information through the website: pages visited, referring source, approximate location derived from your IP address, and browser type.
What we do with it
- Build and send your certification pathway
- Manage your membership and, for paid tiers, process billing
- Send you the material you asked for, including the newsletter
- Answer your questions and improve the guidance on this site
- Report aggregate, non-identifying impact figures to partners and funders
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not share your service details with employers or training providers without your instruction. We do not use your information to build advertising profiles.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers who operate this site and its systems — hosting, email delivery, payment processing and analytics — and only to the extent they need it to perform that function. Where the law requires disclosure, we comply.
Your choices
- Request a copy of the information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your account and associated data
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link in it

Cookies
This site uses cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences and measure how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser, though parts of the member area will stop working.
Security and retention
We hold personal information only for as long as we need it, and we protect it with reasonable technical and organisational measures. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
